We are currently seeking a dedicated Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our team.

Work Schedule:
Per Diem

Shift Details:
Flexible shifts and hours; a minimum of 4 shifts within a six-week schedule is required, along with 4 weekends or 8 individual weekend days annually, as needed. Additionally, one vacation shift may be required per year.

Key Responsibilities:


Under the supervision of the department Team Leader and in collaboration with the Medical and Administrative Directors, as well as Laboratory Managers, you will perform essential technical and administrative tasks within the laboratory. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: specimen reception, evaluation of specimen acceptability, and processing of specimens.


Qualifications:


A high school diploma or equivalent is required; certification in Phlebotomy or as a Medical Assistant is preferred. A combination of education and experience in microbiology specimen processing or laboratory assistance for a minimum of 6 months is acceptable.

Experience of up to one year is preferred.

Certification in Phlebotomy or as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.


All candidates must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or provide a valid exemption for medical or personal reasons upon hiring.

Compensation:
USD $28.25 per hour.
