Location: Fall River, MA

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Employment Type: Full-time with Benefits

In this position, your duties will include:

  • Conducting essential tasks in the patient care process, including the preparation, gross examination, and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens.
  • Identifying when corrective measures are necessary and executing effective solutions.
  • Operating in a dynamic laboratory setting with exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
  • Promoting safety, compliance, and quality assurance protocols.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree from a Pathologist Assistant program accredited by NCCLS.
  • A minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience in grossing various tissue types, from simple to complex.
  • Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists BOC.
  • Strong skills in reading, writing, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in using general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
