At Balchem, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting and Financial Reporting professional to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and entering journal entries, performing month-end accounting close functions, and analyzing and reconciling general ledger account balances.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including income and departmental statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows, for management review.
  • Reviewing and analyzing key accounts on a monthly basis, making corrections as necessary, and reporting results to management.
  • Providing variance analysis versus budget and/or prior periods and/or forecast.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; CPA a plus.
  • 2-4 years relevant accounting experience, knowledge of financial reporting and functions.
  • Prior experience in financial ERP software preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet deadlines when necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in office setting.
  • Mostly sedentary.
