Position Overview

The Marketing & Events Specialist plays a crucial role in orchestrating and managing promotional initiatives across various social media platforms, alongside the planning and execution of events. This individual must exhibit exceptional organizational skills, enabling them to juggle multiple projects while upholding a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Assist in overseeing the company’s social media presence, including platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Develop engaging written, graphic, and video content tailored for social media.
  • Encourage audience interaction and participation through compelling content.
  • Promote products and services in alignment with our established brand identity and social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with management to devise innovative social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage a budget for social media promotions and advertising.
  • Analyze the performance of social media campaigns and maintain organized records of all content.
  • Draft and distribute e-newsletters to subscribers while managing the email list.
  • Utilize scheduled content to ensure a steady flow of new material for audience engagement.

Event Coordination

  • Research and identify potential event opportunities to generate interest.
  • Monitor local events and competitor activities.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and regulations.
  • Communicate with local vendors to arrange music, food, and crafts for events.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Plan and execute event setup and breakdown tasks.
  • Oversee venue arrangements for events, including layout and setup.
  • Track and report on event outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Manage the events calendar and provide regular updates.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the tasting room and other departments during peak times and events.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties in the tasting room as needed.
  • Manage all aspects of event planning and execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to work responsibly around alcohol.
  • Availability for approximately 10-25 hours per week.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; a degree in marketing or business management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms is essential.
  • Knowledge of photography and video editing is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with various software tools including Google Docs, Adobe Suite, and POS systems.
  • Passion for the craft beverage industry is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
