We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to become part of the Inclusion and Alternative Provision team within the Education Division of East Sussex County Council as an Enhanced Support Specialist. This role is vital in ensuring that children and young people with additional needs receive the support they require to thrive.
The successful candidate will collaborate with children, educational institutions, and families to foster improved outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing tailored programs for children.
- Engaging with families to ensure their involvement in the planning of interventions from the outset.
- Assisting educational settings in adhering to relevant statutory regulations regarding reintegration.
- Providing support to children who have faced permanent exclusion or are at risk of it.
- Creating and delivering support programs for schools and children facing potential exclusion.
The support you provide will be crucial in our mission to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people, enabling them to flourish.
You will work closely with the Team Leader of Enhanced Support and a dedicated team of practitioners to ensure timely and effective support for each child and their family. This position is an integral part of a committed and effective team within the Education Division.
