We are seeking highly qualified and experienced individuals to fill faculty positions at the level of Associate Professor in various disciplines. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the Institute's research and teaching activities.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in the relevant area of research, with a consistently good academic record throughout. At least 6 years of industrial/research/teaching experience, with at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor Gr. I or equivalent. A proven track record of research student guidance, research publications, and sponsored research/consultancy projects.

Age Limit

Below 45 years of age, preferably below 40 years, as on the date of application.

Additional Information

Relaxation in age will be applicable as per Government of India norms for different categories. Three-year age relaxation will be given for women candidates. Reservation for teaching positions shall be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Application Process

Applications are to be submitted online through the portal at https://facap.iitpkd.ac.in. The completed application should be submitted on or before the specified deadline.

Instructions for Completing the Application Form

A separate application must be submitted for every post through the portal. The application portal requires the following to be uploaded as separate documents: Curriculum Vitae (CV), Teaching plan, Research plan, Copies of Ph.D. degree certificate and penultimate degree certificate, Copies of certificates for proof of category and physical disability, and other relevant documents.

Support for Professional Advancement of Faculty

An initiation/start-up grant of Rs. 5 lakhs is available to new faculty members on joining. A Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA) of Rs. 3 lakhs for every block period of 3 years is made available to every member of the faculty.

Supplementary Information

Permanent faculty positions are open to Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and overseas citizens of India (OCI). Security clearance from Ministries of External and Home Affairs is necessary for individuals with foreign passports. Reservation as per Government of India rules is followed, without any relaxation on qualifications and experience.
