Job Overview

Lead Complex Audits and Provide Strategic Financial Advisory Services

As a seasoned Audit Senior Manager at Liberty Personnel Services, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in leading complex audit engagements and providing strategic financial advisory services to our closely held business clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' financial statements while fostering strong relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Oversight: Lead and manage complex audit, compilation, and review engagements, ensuring adherence to professional standards and deadlines.
  • Financial Advisory: Provide strategic financial advice on a range of topics, including entity restructuring, budgeting, forecasting, and capital transactions.
  • Client Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, acting as an integrated trusted advisor and understanding their unique business needs.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Optional Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with exposure to closely held businesses in the lower middle market.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial statement preparation, and experience with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and QuickBooks.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for mentoring.

Travel and Work Environment

This position will have regional travel throughout the year. Ideally, this is an in-office position 5 days a week, with frequent client-facing interaction. However, for the right person, there will be some flexibility in the working situation.
