Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Excellence: Ensure food is cooked perfectly and to the customers' request, adhering to the highest standards of food hygiene and hotel policy.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a small team of junior kitchen team members to ensure productivity is maintained, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Set up and monitor all workstations with the required food ingredients and cooking utensils, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food and check for stirs, turns, and flips as required, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Culinary Operations: Use varying cooking apparatus such as grills, woks, hot plates, barbeques, etc., to prepare a wide range of dishes and menus.
  • Food Safety: Ensure all food is stored properly, in the right place, and in the right conditions, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Ingredient Sourcing: Ensure that the quality of the ingredients is up to standard and in date, sourcing high-quality ingredients from reputable suppliers.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Keep the kitchen area, utensils, and apparatus clean and in good condition, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
