Job Description

Norman's Gift Shops, Inc., a leading employee-owned retail company, is seeking a qualified Part Time Sales Associate for our location. We are dedicated to helping people capture their emotions and share them with one another. Our Expectations:

  • We expect our Sales Associates to show initiative, be a team player, and exemplify excellence during every aspect of the customer experience.
  • They are most accessible to the consumer and are the primary resource of knowledge on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning their business.
  • Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers.
  • Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
  • Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business.
  • Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
  • Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds.
