Job Title: School Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team at AnthroMed Education. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional development of our students.

Job Summary:

The School Social Worker will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to create a supportive school environment that promotes academic success and social-emotional growth. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling services, and implement individualized plans to address identified needs. Additionally, you will collaborate with families and community agencies to ensure students receive necessary services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and provide counseling services to students
  • Implement individualized plans to address identified needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to create a supportive school environment
  • Act as liaison between the school, families, and community to ensure students receive necessary services
  • Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on topics related to social skills and child development
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work
  • District of Columbia Government Department of Health Social Work License
  • District of Columbia Certification as a School Social Worker
  • Previous school-based and/or pediatric social work experience is preferred
