About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team at AnthroMed Education. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of students, teachers, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Individualized Plans: Create and implement individualized plans to address the identified needs of students, in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
- Provide Counseling Services: Develop, write, and implement IEP goals for counseling services to students, and provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community to ensure students receive necessary services, and conduct workshops and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on topics related to social skills and child development.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work: Must have a Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- LICSW and District of Columbia Certification: Must have a LICSW and District of Columbia Certification as a School Social Worker.
- Previous School-Based Experience: Previous school-based and/or pediatric social work experience is preferred.
