Job Title: CNC Programmer

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Dogwood Industries LLC. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming CNC machines, generating DXF files from 3D models, and assisting the shop with correcting cut files.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program CNC machines for lasers and Python plasma cutters
  • Generate DXF files from 3D models to facilitate CNC machining processes
  • Help the shop by correcting cut files as required
  • Strive to learn and develop skills in detailing by actively engaging with experienced team members
  • Embrace opportunities for professional growth and actively participate in training sessions
  • Work closely with the 3D modeling and detailing team to understand project requirements
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to supporting team members and colleagues, willingly providing assistance beyond assigned responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain database of information
  • Research product knowledge as needed to ensure accurate and complete drawings
  • Maintain electronic and written files in a neat and orderly manner
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with CNC programming for lasers
  • Ability to create DXF files from 3D models
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the detailing process
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in CNC programming
  • Proficient in SolidWorks
  • Experience in CAD drawings
  • Effectively communicate details and specifications with production team
  • Ability to manage multiple project deadlines
  • Ability to be self-directed
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to problem-solve as part of the daily routine
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements to meet management goals and objectives
  • Ability to work well with others and participate as a team member
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Fluency in standard office software (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in CNC programming or related roles
  • Basic understanding of detailing principles
  • Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and knowledge
  • Willingness to learn from experienced team members and take on challenges
  • Proficient in beam plasma or tube laser programming
  • CMS Programming (beam laser programming)
Work Environment:

This position requires moderate physical activity, primarily in an office environment but may include visits to jobsites to collaborate and inspect materials.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
