Job Opportunity: Executive Director

The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead the organization's overall management, operations, and representation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans to drive the Chamber's growth and success.
  • Member Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with Chamber members, providing exceptional customer service and support.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance member benefits and services.
  • Community Outreach:
    • Represent the Chamber in local government meetings, community events, and service organizations.
    • Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to promote economic development and growth.
  • Marketing and Communications:
    • Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to promote the Chamber's brand and services.
    • Manage the Chamber's website, social media, and other communication channels.
  • Event Management:
    • Plan and execute Chamber events, programs, and activities, ensuring they align with the Chamber's objectives.
  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee the Chamber's finances, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Policy Implementation:
    • Implement and enforce Chamber policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Board Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors, including meeting coordination and record-keeping.
  • Advocacy and Representation:
    • Advocate for the Chamber's interests and represent the organization in local, state, and federal government.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in executive leadership, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organization.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and fiscal controls.
  • Demonstrated success in membership development and retention.
  • Strong community relations skills and a visible community presence.
Job Type:

Full-time

Pay:

$25.00 per hour

Benefits:

Paid time off

Schedule:

8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, overtime
