Job Summary

Rittal LLC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide on-site customer support for climate control product installation, planned maintenance, repair, and service training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for climate control product installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Complete service reports and communicate with relevant personnel.
  • Coordinate field service activities with customers and local Rittal sales personnel.
  • Offer telephone technical support to customers and service partners.
  • Promote Service Contracts through customer interaction.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide cost-effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in air conditioner repair and EPA certification for refrigerant recovery and servicing of CFC-based units.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with experience using electrical meters and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in repairing industrial recirculating chillers is preferred.
  • Previous field service experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook/Email, Excel, and Word.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or sit for long durations, up to 8 hours.
  • Work with hand tools, power tools, computer, and use keyboard for up to 8 hours.
  • Occasional lifting up to 80 pounds to waist level, frequent lifting 25-50 pounds to waist level, and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to assignment changes, and ability to multi-task.
