Supervisor Charge Nurse, RN Opportunity

The Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of a safe and effective person-centered approach care model on their assigned shift. This role requires a strong leader who can develop relationships with residents and their families, hold staff accountable for quality care, and meet regulatory requirements and nursing standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop relationships with residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach, focusing on placing the resident first.
* Hold staff accountable for quality care and continual improvement of neighborhood processes/practices.
* Meet regulatory requirements and nursing standards of practice.
* Provide staff with clear/consistent assignments of residents and duties, setting the tone for a productive and professional work environment.
* Work with the staffing office to provide adequate staff available for shift.
* Lead and direct the execution of care plans for residents in their neighborhood through monitoring and partnership with RN, LPN, and care associates.
* Monitor new staff complete orientation/onboarding requirements.
* Participate in performance improvement processes for the neighborhood.
* Proactively round with staff on neighborhood and identify positive execution of duties as well as areas of opportunities.
* Collaborate with other departments (dining, general services, housekeeping, programming, social worker, etc.) in a professional manner to deliver safe, quality, and person-centered care.
* Collaborate with Clinical Manager and Staff Education & Training Coordinator in planning and evaluating staff education needs.
* Lead shift meetings to review new policies, processes, or standards.

Requirements:

* Must have an active RN license in the state they will practice
* Graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse program
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in continuing care or assisted living facility
* Experienced documenting in an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
