Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Coordinator to join our team at Virgin Galactic. As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the procurement organization by managing approvals and budget coding of purchase requisitions for transition and release of purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning: Support various planning tasks including data entry or extraction, uploading of documentation, updates or inputs into database or systems.
  • Financial Management: Work with finance to ensure all budget codes and alignments to the integrated product teams or Bill of Material (BOM) from our ERP (Oracle).
  • Supplier Management: Timely approval for material needs and alignment between supplier promise dates and production or test need dates.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Documentation: Ability to document work in progress and maintain effective records.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of basic computer applications and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), as well as the ability to learn and use multiple applications specific to this function.
  • Aerospace Knowledge: A general understanding of Aerospace procurement processes.
  • ERP Experience: Experience using Oracle or ERP/MRP, Agile or 3DX PLM.
  • Buyer Experience: Experience in a buyer role.
