Job Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing freight claims, investigating damage and shortage claims, and communicating with logistics service providers to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify claim submissions to ensure all required documentation is included
  • Investigate and process damage and shortage claims based on investigation reports and QA findings
  • Communicate with logistics service providers to resolve claims in a timely and accurate manner
  • Analyze data to determine claim validity and evaluate independent reports
  • Compile comprehensive claim analyses for monthly reporting to clients
  • Work within company guidelines to analyze contractual agreements and assess physical damage reports
  • Notify involved parties of claim filings and communicate with claimants on the best course of action
  • Escalate high-value declinations with management for discussion on possible recourse

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of freight claims processing experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic reporting functions and formatting
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
