Machine Maintenance Specialist

As a Machine Maintenance Technician at Gauthier Biomedical, you will be responsible for performing all maintenance activities necessary to install, repair, and maintain production equipment, systems, and services. This includes installing and maintaining production machines and equipment, performing regular, predictive, and preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
• Installs and maintains production machines and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Performs regular, predictive, and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment, in accordance with operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and company procedures.
• Troubleshoots issues, replaces or repairs parts, and responds quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintains an efficient Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage all required equipment maintenance and accurately documents work performed in a timely fashion.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment.
• Assists with plant layout and performs various other building and custodial maintenance functions as needed.
• Supports company safety objectives by maintaining compliance with all government regulations, providing technical support for safety projects, and ensuring that equipment is in a safe, operable condition.
• Encourages and contributes to a positive work environment and culture through effective communication, coaching, teamwork, and leadership.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts, makes or recommends equipment and/or process modifications to improve quality and/or efficiency, and accurately completes production and quality documents.
• Maintains a professional working relationship and effectively communicates with all employees, managers, vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
• Understands, complies with, and supports company policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety regulations/initiatives.
Requirements
• Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years of related maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, metal fabrication, PLC, electrical, plumbing, machine tools, power distribution, and hand tools preferred.
Work Schedule
1st shift: Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM; optional overtime available before and/or after the regular shift.
2nd shift: 4 ten-hour days Monday through Thursday from 3:30PM to 2:00AM; plus Fridays are optional overtime.
Part-time options available as well.
