We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Operations to join our team at North Carolina Community Health Center Association. Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to support the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Operations Management: Oversee the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, grants accounting, project accounting, and financial services operations and staff.
- Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, and develop strategies to minimize losses and maximize returns.
- Financial Systems and Processes: Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Financial Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to finance staff, and develop their skills and knowledge to ensure the department's success.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field, with an MBA degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of seven years of relevant financial modeling, analysis, and reporting experience in a not-for-profit organization, with prior managed care experience as analysis support in the healthcare industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and management skills, with expertise in financial reporting, financial trend analysis, and GAAP regulations and compliance issues.
- Experience with Financial Systems: Experience with financial systems, including MIP/Abila Accounting System, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Leadership and Development: Proven leadership and development skills, with experience in supervising and developing finance staff.
The successful candidate will work in a busy, team-oriented, non-profit organization with expected event-related travel to various locations, including in and out-of-state.
