Overview

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Senior Manager of Audio/Visual Solutions to lead our expanding A/V initiatives in support of U.S. Government and Department of Defense clients globally. In this pivotal role, you will provide exceptional technical oversight and programmatic guidance across multiple projects, collaborating with a diverse team of A/V architects, designers, software engineers, integration specialists, and infrastructure experts.

This position is primarily based in one of our locations and requires an on-site commitment of five days a week. Please note that the schedule may vary depending on company and contract needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Technical Leadership Oversee A/V architectural design and development across various technology domains. Manage A/V software engineering initiatives across multiple technologies and vendors. Direct the integration, testing, and deployment of all A/V systems and solutions. Stay informed about emerging technologies and products to maintain our status as a premier A/V solutions provider. Uphold system engineering principles. Assess A/V tools (CAE, CAD, etc.). Implement and enforce software development best practices, including configuration management processes. Provide Programmatic Leadership Assist in business development to enhance A/V capabilities across various sectors, including Military Construction, Auditoriums, Conference Rooms, Educational Facilities, Huddle Rooms, and Office Solutions. Collaborate with project managers to integrate A/V engineering insights into project estimates and budgets. Work alongside project managers and capability leads to optimize resource allocation and scheduling based on customer availability. Monitor project timelines and progress to ensure timely delivery within budget constraints. Develop a departmental skill matrix to identify and address capability gaps.

Travel Requirements

Anticipated travel is approximately 10%, primarily within the continental U.S., with occasional trips to international locations.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of ten (10) years of direct experience in system architecture, analysis, design, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of various A/V technologies, including systems and subsystems, with at least five (5) years in engineering roles related to U.S. Government or DoD systems. At least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or functional lead role, managing cross-functional teams and distributing work based on technical skills and programmatic needs. Familiarity with systems engineering frameworks and review processes such as System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Comprehensive Design Review (CDR), and Test Readiness Review (TRR). Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio). Experience with ISO-9001, AS9100, and configuration management practices, including ASME drafting standards. Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS-Project) and resource management. Experience in capability management and professional development. Understanding of standards and guidelines governing A/V system development. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and Teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and management personnel.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with WireCAD is preferred. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.

Education

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a STEM field.

Clearance

All candidates must possess a current Secret (Top Secret / SCI preferred) clearance; please be aware that the clearance process includes financial background checks.

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the expected compensation range is $130,000 - $160,000 per year.
