Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst to join our team at Leidos in the Washington D.C. Metro Area.

The successful candidate will work remotely and occasionally attend meetings locally in the DMV area, utilizing their expertise in geography, GIS, and feature data production policies to maintain and update customer map and chart data and geographic information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and provide conflated information associated with Foundation feature data listed within the Geographic Names Database (GNDB) and other data repositories.
  • Utilize the FG Modernization Geographic Names Processing System (GNPS), charts, imagery, and geospatial tools to refine geospatial information for use in all types of geospatial products and respond to user questions.
  • Accurately enter and maintain data to update the GNDB.
  • Georeferenced maps and imagery must be conflated with the GNDB. Spelling and other metadata shall be verified.
  • Interpret and apply policies governing the treatment of names as well as general guidelines emanating from the BGN, the Department of State (DoS), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and other related organizations.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma and 0+ years of relative Geospatial experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI/Polygraph is required.
  • Candidate must be local to the Washington, DC metro area to attend occasional meetings locally in the DMV area.
  • Demonstrated experience with GIS software to include ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
  • Demonstrated experience to produce GEOINT products.

Salary Range: $50,050 - $90,475 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
