Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant/RMA is a vital member of the patient care team at Lexington Clinic, contributing to the health management of patients. This role involves performing various patient care activities and accommodating services for Clinic patients, often in assistance to section physicians and under the direction of the Patient Care Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical procedures and operate and care for the nursing unit in the department.
  • Contribute to the health management of patients and provide support to section physicians.
  • Maintain primary responsibility for all technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal training indicated by certification from an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Two years of broad experience with emphasis in family practice.
Physical Guidelines

The ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position, and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day is required. Additionally, the ability to lift, move, and transport patients, equipment, and supplies, as well as motor coordination and manual dexterity, is necessary. Articulate speech, the ability to read and understand orders, and visual acuity are also essential.
