Turner Construction is seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform line and grade work for building layout and control.
  • Assist in the implementation of site safety programs.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCR's).
  • Review work as it is being placed to ensure it is accurate within accepted tolerances.
  • Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.
  • Assist in the preparation of project as-builts.
  • Assist in the protection and promotion of interests of Turner and in related matters.
Requirements
  • Two years of college education from an accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or a relevant field.
  • Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Basic understanding of scheduling programs is desired.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be primarily office-based, with occasional travel to construction sites and other locations. The employee will be required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
