Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse 4

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN4) to join our team at the Airway Heights Corrections Center in Airway Heights, WA.

About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse 4, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. You will work under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and will be expected to implement the nursing process and deliver services to promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment of various health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and collect data about the health status, clinical condition, or situation of individuals, families, groups, and communities by interview, observation, inspection, and examination.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in developing nursing diagnoses and outcomes to be achieved as a result of nursing intervention.
  • Contribute to the development of the plan of nursing care, including identification of approaches, timeframes, and pathways for the delivery of health care.
  • Carry out the plan of care by performing common therapeutic nursing interventions, informing others about the urgency, time, and methods to deliver health care on and off site.
  • Delegate and assign tasks to other staff as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Two years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR.
  • Proficient using computer-based programs to schedule, monitor, and track patient information, perform data entry, and word processing, and communicate via email, as well as other programs that may be needed to complete assigned work.
