About the Role:
CareerPhysician, LLC, a national leader in academic pediatric leadership recruitment, is seeking a transformational leader to serve as the next Director of the Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and Holtz Children's leadership to envision and build an internationally respected Heart Center for the children of South Florida, and a destination program for children in Central and South America, the Caribbean, and other parts of the world.
- Establish a new Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine, and lead the development of a thriving and internationally respected pediatric cardiovascular surgery program.
- Directly responsible to the Chair, Department of Surgery, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for the Division's overall function, and serve as Surgical Director for Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Surgery.
- Build world-class divisional research and teaching missions, with opportunities to collaborate with the Batchelor Children's Research Institute and the Mailman Center for Child Development.
- Develop and lead a newly structured maternal-fetal medicine program and expanding fetal cardiology program.
