Division Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology

We are seeking an exceptional Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology to serve as the Division Chief of our Generalist Division. As a key member of our Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of women's health care at the University of Miami Health System.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Generalist Division in clinical and research initiatives, ensuring excellence in patient care and education.
- Collaborate with the Chair to execute strategic planning for the Division and Department.
- Attract and mentor outstanding faculty, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Develop and implement patient safety initiatives to improve clinical outcomes.
- Oversee the clinical, research, and teaching activities of Generalist Division faculty.
- Ensure effective team communication and promote a positive culture in the Department.
- MD/DO and Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Certification in relevant specialty or field required.
- Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical license and DEA.
- Ten years of experience as an academic OBGYN Generalist, encompassing clinical practice, education, and research.
- Five years of progressive supervisory experience, including oversight of other providers, program development, and administration.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
