Job Summary
The Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled LPN to join our team as a Medical Office Licensed Practical Nurse at the Portsmouth Family Health Center. This role will provide assistance to providers with patient exams and procedures, collect vitals, and document patient information.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing
• Collect and document patient vitals, chief complaints, pain assessment, and past medical history
• Perform LPN duties related to physician office operations, including conducting monthly inspections of supplies and medications, ensuring clinical supply stock levels, reviewing charts for next day's appointments, logging and updating medication lists, assisting with answering phones and scheduling appointments, and pre-cleaning and decontaminating instruments
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to meet patient needs, cross-train to perform Medical Office Assistant duties, follow vaccine and medication management policy, review and handle ERX requests, contact insurance companies for authorizations, perform intermediate-level disinfection, and ensure patient care areas are cleaned after each visit

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required
• Licensed to practice as an LPN in the state required
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire preferred
• One to three months experience preferred

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
This salary range is based on industry standards and market conditions in the Portsmouth area.
