About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Southern Ohio Medical Center team, specifically in our dynamic Orthopedic Care Unit. As a collaborative and compassionate individual with excellent patient care skills, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing services to patients with various orthopedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Assessment and Documentation: Conduct thorough nursing assessments of patients and accurately document their records.
  • Care Planning and Coordination: Develop, evaluate, and update patient care plans based on individual needs, working closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective care coordination.
  • Patient Safety and Discharge Planning: Implement, manage, and participate in discharge planning processes to promote patient safety.
  • Communication and Patient Support: Foster open communication by promptly responding to patient calls and addressing concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in Ohio is essential.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire is mandatory.
