Southwestern College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR operations, recruitment, and employment services. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the college's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the college's mission and goals.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviews, and background checks.
- Manage employee relations, including performance management, discipline, and termination.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement departmental HR plans.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date on changing laws and regulations affecting HR practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years of professional HR experience, with 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex HR issues.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
