Position Overview

Control Associates, Inc. is a leading provider of industrial automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area. We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer - PLC to join our team at our headquarters in Allendale, NJ.

Founded in 1933, Control Associates partners with Emerson to deliver exceptional support for process control equipment across various sectors, including Life Sciences, Natural Gas Distribution, HVAC, Power, Chemical, and Downstream Hydrocarbons.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of control system project implementations. Responsibilities include:

  • Primary focus on PLC programming, design, troubleshooting, commissioning, and documentation within manufacturing environments.
Qualifications

Required:

  • A BS degree in an Engineering Discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with complex PLC applications, including controls and startup experiences.
  • Strong programming knowledge of PLCs, with experience in various types (e.g., Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Siemens) preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience in applications deployed in a GMP environment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting processes and equipment controlled by PLCs.
  • Excellent communication skills, as this role involves client interaction.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Note: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This is a direct placement opportunity; third-party contracts are not considered. This role is not remote; relocation to the NYC tristate area may be necessary.
