This is a full-time position in our Neurosurgery Clinic at the University of New Mexico Hospitals. We are seeking an Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide safe and direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide clinical leadership for staff and serve as a role model.
  • Assume relief charge duties when designated.
  • Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Document medical records accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel.

Requirements:

  • Nationally accredited nursing graduate degree or equivalent.
  • Current RN license in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or Keres/Tewa/Tiwa/Towa/Zuni/Navajo fluency preferred.
  • 3 years directly related experience.

Working Conditions:

This position involves heavy physical work, requiring exertion of up to 100 pounds occasionally and 25-50 pounds frequently. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with moderate exposure to chemicals and hazardous equipment/materials.
