Debt Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Debt Collector. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in assisting consumers with repayment options on their unsecured obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone to discuss overdue collection payments and encourage a prompt solution.
- Establish rapport with customers to build trusting relationships.
- Initiate and maintain effective communication with third-party customers to negotiate payment plans, settle agreements, or suitable arrangements based on their financial situation.
- Respond to customer inquiries, disputes, complaints regarding outstanding balances, providing exceptional customer service, and resolving issues promptly.
- Update customer information, payment records, and note any relevant information in the company's database (i.e., LiveVox and Interprose).
- Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all interactions with debtors, adhering to confidentiality and privacy guidelines.
- Report to assigned Operations Manager regarding schedules, shifts, absences, and any/all job-related and relevant personal concerns.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws.
- Additional duties appropriate for this position as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Positive attitude and excellent people skills.
- Reliable and self-driven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Customer service or sales experience.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Computer proficiency.
- Must be able to successfully pass a 10-year background screen (10 years from the time of last disposition.)
Preferred Skills:
- Call center experience
- Debt collections experience
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
- Bilingual collectors, once certified receive an additional $1 per hour
