Quarterly Lecturer Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Quarterly Lecturer to join our team at Santa Clara University. The successful candidate will have expertise or teaching experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Counseling Psychology
- Psychology of Interpersonal Communications
- Evidence-Based Approaches to Psychotherapy
- Psychology of Human Development
- Foundations of Psychotherapy and Personality
- Psychology of Group Counseling
- Research Methods
- Multicultural Counseling
- Ethical and Legal Issues in Counseling
- Career Development and Life Planning
- Formal & Informal Assessment in Career Development
- Psychology of Marriage Counseling
- Family Therapy
- Therapeutic Interventions with Children
- Clinical Assessment I (DSM-V)
- Clinical Assessment II
- Substance Abuse Treatment
- Dual Diagnosis: Diagnosis and Treatment
- Psychopharmacology
- Biological Basis for Development
- Clinical Assessment: Issues in Child Diagnosis
- Health Psychology: Theory and Health
- Stress and Stress Management
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology and teaching experience in one or more of the above areas. Doctoral level and licensed candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities:- Teach no more than two courses per quarter, and no more than four courses over three academic quarters (fall, winter, spring).
- Conduct and appear at all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared manner.
- Assign and evaluate assignments that align with the course description and course learning outcomes.
- Hold regular weekly office hours on campus.
- Submit student grades that are appropriate, accurate, and fair measures of student performance to the Office of the Registrar by the designated deadline.
- Administer numerical and narrative evaluations for all courses.
- Fulfill other academic duties as may be assigned by the Chair of the Department of Counseling Psychology.
- Graduate degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology.
- Teaching experience in one or more of the above areas.
- Doctoral level and licensed candidates are preferred.
