Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a highly skilled Research Computing Systems Administrator to join their team. As a key member of the Research Computing team, this individual will be responsible for providing technical assistance, software and hardware management, day-to-day operations, and problem-solving for computing infrastructure and hybrid cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing, solving, and implementing solutions for the RC infrastructure, including cluster, storage, hybrid cloud, and core systems.
  • Proactive daily monitoring and health checks of the research computing infrastructure.
  • Maintaining and/or providing documentation in support of the RC infrastructure and hybrid cloud platform.
  • Evaluating potential technologies to support tactical and strategic objectives.
  • Contributing to open and community source projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive to ensure proper availability of systems/services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and solve technical issues.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work with colleagues to tackle complex problems.
  • Strong customer service and relationship skills.

What We Offer

  • Salary: $56,000 - $64,400.
