Key Responsibilities:- Deliver care within the designated scope for Patient Care Assistants.
- Adhere to infection control standards and proper hand hygiene protocols.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support residents during meals, rehabilitation activities, and recreational programs.
- Engage in emergency response procedures and provide post-mortem support as necessary.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities as instructed by the Nursing Department.
- Monitor and report any alterations in patient conditions promptly.
- Complete required documentation on a daily basis.
- Assist in training new personnel when needed.
- Uphold the code of conduct and ensure the confidentiality of residents.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
- Utilize Telehealth technologies for executing responsibilities when appropriate.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- License/Certification: Valid NYS Certification as a Patient Care Assistant.
- Technical Skills: Competent in basic computer operations and data entry.
- Physical/Mental Requirements: Capable of walking long distances, ascending stairs, responding swiftly in emergencies, standing for extended periods, and executing various physical activities.
- Fluent in English with the ability to understand spoken communication.
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin is advantageous.
