Job Overview:
Shriners Children's Spokane stands as the leading pediatric orthopedic specialty hospital in the region, catering to children aged 0-18 years. The full-time Communications and Marketing (MarCom) Specialist will engage in a variety of stimulating and enjoyable tasks.

Under the guidance of the Director of MarCom, the MarCom Specialist will focus on content development and storytelling across diverse channels and platforms, including social media, print media, website content, internal communications, and earned media.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a creative communicator who values a fun work environment, enjoys community involvement, and is passionate about assisting children and their families in achieving their aspirations and living fulfilling lives.

The MarCom Specialist, located in Spokane, Washington, will collaborate with team members from the West region, including professionals from various cities, as well as the Shriners Children's MarCom leadership team.

The compensation range for this position is between $51,100 and $63,875, with salary determined by relevant experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Communications: Crafting and posting multimedia content to the Shriners Children's website, social media platforms, the award-winning Leaders in Care magazine, and internal newsletters.

2. Collaborative Communications: Partnering with various departments and medical staff to gather stories, fostering enthusiasm, positive morale, and teamwork among employees.

3. Brand Representation: Ensuring a consistent look, feel, and voice across all Marketing & Communications materials.

4. Departmental Support: Overseeing multiple projects, reports, analytics, and metrics.

5. Community Engagement: Participating in community events, clinics, fundraisers, conferences, and meetings as needed.

6. Social Media Oversight: Monitoring social media channels (including evenings and weekends) to ensure timely responses to messages and comments.

Qualifications:
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years in Marketing/Communications/Public Relations.
- At least 3 years of experience in storytelling, writing, and editing.
- Proficiency in social media management (using platforms like Hootsuite).
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic skills in videography and photography.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar CRM tools.
- Knowledge of the Shriners International fraternity.

Experience Preferred:
- Experience with website content management systems (Content Workflow or similar).
- Familiarity with Looker Studio (Google Analytics).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Acrobat, PhotoShop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
- Background in media relations/public relations.
- Skills in graphic design and video editing.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
