Job Summary

ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly facilities, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join their team at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. As a key member of the HR department, this individual will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and designated personnel, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and designated personnel, including daily tasks, projects, and research.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Answer department telephones and respond to employee and applicant inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process new hires and terminations, including verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining personnel files.
  • Assist in the coordination of job fairs and recruitment activities, as well as setting up interviews for available positions.
  • Prepare and maintain employee files, including updating employee phone directories and performing file audits.
  • Complete employment verifications and attend HR functions and trainings as needed.
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders and maintain office supplies.
  • Run various reports and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in Business Administration, Business Law, or Human Resources preferred.
  • 2 years of previous administrative experience, preferably in a Human Resources department.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and practices a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment and personal computer software, including Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • ADP and/or Workday HRIS systems experience a plus.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position require the ability to move around the facility, stand for long periods, and talk and hear. The individual may be required to work inside or outside the building, as needed by events.
