The Export Cargo Pricing Specialist plays a crucial role in evaluating and pricing export cargo opportunities while supporting a designated Sales region in achieving its export objectives as outlined by Trade Management.
This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of customer accounts and international trade dynamics. The Specialist will collaborate daily with local and global sales representatives, Line Managers, and various commercial support teams, including contracts, amendments, and tariff filing, as well as Customer Service and Trade colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and price cargo opportunities in line with guidelines from the Trade Manager or Trade Director.
2. Coordinate and review external customer requests for rates and service details.
3. File rates and rules, draft new service contracts, and manage contract amendments as directed.
4. Conduct analysis of monthly contribution reports regarding sub-optimal containers.
5. Perform market and commodity analysis utilizing Piers data and DIVA-DS reports.
6. Review competitors' service and capacity changes as requested by Trade Management.
7. Maintain and foster strong relationships with sales and customer service teams.
8. Track customer and service performance against the Export Trade business plan.
Additional Duties:
Assist Trade Management with result analysis for commercial and financial forecasting to develop improved tactical plans based on market intelligence. Analyze vessel and customer booking trends, monitor pricing requests versus secured business, and undertake management reporting and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

- Industry knowledge in trade, sales, finance, supply chain, shipping, or logistics is preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
