Jarbo, a prominent player in the aerospace sector, is seeking a seasoned Aerospace Production Engineering Leader. As the company expands its operations and ramps up production, we are looking for Manufacturing Engineers at various experience levels, including a Manufacturing Engineering Leader. This position is pivotal in overseeing the Manufacturing Engineering Team dedicated to aircraft assembly.

The Aerospace Production Engineering Leader will serve as the critical link between Design Engineers and the manufacturing team. This role is tasked with spearheading problem-solving initiatives aimed at removing bottlenecks, enhancing productivity, and pinpointing process enhancements to optimize overall manufacturing workflows and maximize output on the shop floor.

Collaboration with Production Management is essential in all facets, including the design of shop floor layouts and the procurement and implementation of equipment.

Compensation, Benefits, and Work Schedule:

- Competitive salaries ranging from $90,000 to $125,000 annually, based on relevant experience.

- 11 paid holidays along with PTO, providing opportunities for extended weekends to enjoy the sunny locale. The company observes a closure during the week between Christmas and New Year's, with full pay for this period; these days do not count against PTO balances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate "make versus buy" decisions, modifying production methods to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the outsourcing of components.
  • Design and conceptualize tooling and fabrication processes.
  • Stay informed about production equipment and trends in manufacturing.
  • Provide budgetary information and project updates to management.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) for layout and workflow optimization.
  • Conduct analyses on workflow, capacity, quantitative metrics, and throughput.
  • Perform cost analysis as necessary.
  • Engage with machine operators, management at various levels, and suppliers.
  • Implement and promote Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis) and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Assess the outcomes of Lean initiatives.

Qualifications – Aerospace Production Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field in Aerospace AND/OR relevant experience as a Manufacturing Engineer and Manufacturing Engineering Leader in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, Unigraphics II, Microsoft Project, and Office Suite.
  • Experience with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is essential for fulfilling the responsibilities of this role.
  • All candidates must successfully complete a background check, drug screening, and physical examination, and provide a copy of their high school diploma.
