Activity Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Activity Assistant will assist with the overall operation of the Activity Department to ensure an ongoing program of activities meets the interests and well-being of each resident.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs for the facility.
- Follow resident care plans in providing daily activities for residents.
- Participate in community planning that interests and meets the needs of residents and their families.
- Coordinate activities with other departments.
- Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
- Answer telephones, operate the facility paging system, and manage resident lists and incoming calls to residents.
- Greet visitors, provide directions, and information to guests, residents, and sales representatives.
- Ensure all visitors abide by existing rules, use ID badges, and manage the sign-in/out log.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge and experience interacting with residents of this nature are also necessary.
