Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Diverse Lynx LLC. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities, reviewing and dispositioning defects and nonconforming conditions in complex assemblies. You will also be responsible for documenting and determining the root cause of abnormalities, ensuring that cross-functional teams validate corrections/rework will not negatively affect system functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead MRB activities, reviewing and dispositioning defects and nonconforming conditions in complex assemblies.
  • Document and determine the root cause of abnormalities, ensuring that cross-functional teams validate corrections/rework will not negatively affect system functionality.
  • Establish turnaround times, coordinate meetings, and initiatives to ensure timely disposition of MRB materials.
  • Establish and publish pertinent Dashboards and analytical reports.
  • Work closely with supply chain, support process improvements, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with existing MRB/Quality procedures and/or process control documentation, and train team members, as necessary.
  • Provide onsite technical support, including interpretation of Engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and other systems related documents.
  • Facilitate improvement initiatives/projects to improve quality related metrics.
  • Compile data and write analytical reports regarding existing or potential nonconformance studies or projects.
  • Champion incorporating best practices into current and future application.
  • Utilize PPAP core elements (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans) to identify and make recommendations for managing risk in internal and supplied products.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party regulatory audits, review and implementation of engineering change orders, any specifics tasks from department manager.

Requirements
  • 3 to 6 years' experience as Quality Engineer (inspection)
  • Material Review Board (MRB) activities
  • Read and interpret prints per ASME Y14.5
  • Material management
  • Non-conforming material: General control
  • Interpret and review inspection records
  • Ability to know difference between conforming and non-conforming features within inspection records.
  • Review 3D optical inspection scans and understand conformance.
  • NoE process knowledge
  • QMS - Follow Collins Quality Management System.
  • MRB Authority - Must have experience with MRB authority in the past.
