About the Job

This per diem position involves working Monday to Friday, variable shifts from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience providing administrative support and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology. A high school graduate or equivalent is required, with an Associate's Degree preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all patients & customers, greeting and answering phones in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform patient registration, scheduling and financial clearance.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to verify benefits and coverage to ensure proper billing and authorization.
  • Perform a wide variety of secretarial tasks, including answering phones, routing mail, record keeping and written & verbal communication.
  • Maintain department inventory and supplies.
  • May receive and process payments at point of service according to guidelines.
  • Create and maintain patient charts, including required documentation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Pleasant, professional and articulate phone voice.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with medical terminology, previous experience in a medical office setting.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $18.39 and $34.14 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
