Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team as a Human Resources Manager, overseeing human resource functions for 8 hotels in the Dulles region. You will report directly to the Area Director of Human Resources and play a vital role in shaping the company's One Team philosophy.

Responsibilities
  • Compensation/Benefits: Develop and maintain relationships with area hotels, conduct regular wage surveys, and work closely with the HR/Payroll department to ensure timely processing of team member increases.
  • Recruitment/Retention: Manage the recruitment and retention process for both hourly and salaried team members, ensuring fair hiring practices and implementing recognition programs that reward and motivate employees.
  • Team Member Relations: Provide leadership support in maintaining union-free status, ensuring fair and consistent application of federal, state, and local laws, and serving as a resource for performance management.
  • Cost Control: Oversee expenses to exceed company/hotel profitability, assist department managers in managing labor costs through efficient use of Kronos and UltiPro, and identify cost-saving strategies between departments/hotels.
  • Training: Analyze quality issues, identify training needs, and implement solutions to improve results, utilizing available resources and adhering to company training policies.
  • Safety/Risk Management: Manage the workers' compensation program and provide a clean and safe work environment.
  • Self/Workload Management: Demonstrate effective self/workload management, communicate clearly, promote collaboration, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Two+ years of Human Resource experience required, with a strong preference for experience in a hospitality or service industry. Must have strong organizational & communication skills, professional presence, solid business focus, and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
