The Director will manage the clinical pharmacy program, 340B program, as well as in-house pharmacy partnership management and operations. A Day in the Life Pharmacy Management •Manage all internal/external pharmacy operations and ensure continuous pharmacy operations •Maintains compliance with all state and federal laws (including all pharmacy licenses and payer contracts), 340B rules and regulations, and specialty pharmacy standards (if applicable) •Creates Pharmacy Budgets and financial expectations in partnership with leadership team •Evaluates and updates pharmacy policies and procedures as necessary and required •Optimizes pharmacy revenue and actively seeks additional revenue streams through effective management of in-house pharmacies and contract pharmacies. Including considering additional business lines including infusion, institutional, and specialty pharmacy. •Oversees all pharmacy quality improvement or service expansion initiatives •Fills and dispenses pharmaceuticals, specialty pharmaceuticals, and other related supplies as ordered by duly licensed practitioners or their agents, checks prescriptions for accuracy and counsels patients as mandated by OBRA 90.•Maintains all pharmacy records and inventory of pharmaceuticals and other related supplies, including a system of recordkeeping for the purchase, sale, delivery, possession, storage, and safekeeping of such •Supervises the functions of all pharmacy staff as they relate to the practice of pharmacy •Fulfills all other reasonable duties as assigned or determined by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Courier Management •Director will develop a courier program to bring all pharmacy deliveries via courier in-house. This may expand beyond the pharmacy courier in the future •Ensure financial and data tracking are available for all internal score cards and financial analysis. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect oversight of all pharmacy staff including Pharmacists in charge at each pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacists and 340B Quality Specialists. Direct oversight of all appropriate courier staff. Manage all 3rd party relationships. Carries out manager responsibilities including interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and discipling employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education/ExperienceGraduate of an ACPE Accredited College of Pharmacy (BS in Pharmacy, PharmD)Current Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.3-5 years' experience in Community Pharmacy - FQHC/340B experience preferred.Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Graduate of an ACPE Accredited College of Pharmacy (BS in Pharmacy, PharmD)Current Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
