Job Title: Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at Bauer Foundation Corp. as part of our construction division. As a leader in the execution of complex excavation pits, ground improvement, deep foundations, and vertical seals, we are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for progress to oversee all phases of our construction projects located within the US.

Job Summary:

This position reports to the General Superintendent/Project Manager and will be responsible for supervising all site staff, preparing work schedules and assignments, communicating and enforcing safety procedures and site rules, and ensuring the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for site safety, ensuring compliance with established site rules and company safety policies.
  • Plan, organize, implement, execute, and control daily construction site activities.
  • Oversee overall production and related quality, implementing necessary changes.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, project managers, and customers.
  • Monitor performance against plans, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Assist project managers in setting up projects from a logistical, planning, and operational perspective.
  • Inspect, review, and report project status against cost and delivery targets to project managers.
  • Ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
  • Manage quality control, statutory documentation, and compliance with quality, safety standards, and conditions of the contract.
  • Identify problems and provide solution ideas and advice.
Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both oral and written.
  • High-caliber team player, willing to assume duties responsibly and customer-oriented.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and prepared to adapt to other cultures.
  • Ability to foster a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or similar field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience with at least 3 years in foundations and ground engineering preferred.
  • Demonstrated work experience as a superintendent on special foundation construction sites or adequate combination of education, training, and experience.
