Position Overview:

BFC is seeking motivated professionals with a background as a Superintendent in the geotechnical and special foundation sector. If you are driven by progress and innovation, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the General Superintendent / Project Manager, overseeing all aspects of construction projects across the U.S.
• Travel frequently to various construction sites, potentially involving rotational work schedules.
• Conduct interviews and hire site personnel, supervising and mentoring the assigned site team.
• Prepare work schedules and assign tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and site regulations.

Key Duties:

• Ensure site safety, maintaining a secure environment for all workers and visitors while enforcing compliance with established safety policies.
• Plan, organize, implement, and manage daily construction activities effectively.
• Monitor production quality and make necessary adjustments to meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, consultants, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Evaluate project performance against plans and specifications, reporting status to the Project Manager.
• Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.
• Manage quality control, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contractual obligations.
• Identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational, supervisory, and leadership capabilities.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards.
• Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
• A collaborative team player with a customer-focused approach.
• Adaptable and open to working with diverse cultures.
• Ability to cultivate a positive team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate all areas of the construction site in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in foundations and ground engineering.
• Demonstrated experience as a superintendent on special foundation construction sites or a suitable combination of education and experience.
