Job Summary

The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine at Augusta University invites applications for a PhD level Senior Research Scientist (non-tenure track faculty) position. The successful candidate will work independently under the direction of Dr. Qin Wang and will be expected to conduct cutting-edge research in the fields of brain aging, complex behavior and cognition, and neuroinflammation, including engaging in collaborative projects.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in brain aging, complex behavior and cognition, and neuroinflammation
  • Engage in collaborative projects with department faculty
  • Train and supervise postdocs, students, and technical staff
  • Design and execute research experiments, perform data analysis, and write manuscripts
  • Apply for intramural and extramural grants
Requirements
  • PhD or MD from an accredited college or university
