Position Summary


Our pharmacy division is dedicated to delivering outstanding service and addressing the pharmaceutical needs of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and specialized care institutions across the nation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess physician medication orders for suitability, including drug selection, dosage, potential interactions, and administration routes. Provide recommendations for therapy modifications to healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Maintain a comprehensive patient database that includes relevant medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and current medications, including over-the-counter and home remedies.
  • Ensure that necessary laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, reviewed, and communicated with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to offer clinical and technical support as required.
  • Document all interactions with physicians, nursing staff, and patients in the medical records.
  • Implement and uphold policies and procedures for the safe handling, storage, distribution, and disposal of pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain compliance with all required documentation as mandated by federal and state regulations.
  • Notify the Pharmacy Manager of any medication-related errors.
  • Assist facility staff with procedures related to the safe and effective management of medications.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care settings.
  • Licenses/Certifications: As required by regulatory standards and business needs.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-driven, and a collaborative team player with strong oral communication skills.
