Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our Ankeny, Iowa facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire Value Stream, including Profit and Loss (P&L) for the plant operations, while supporting the Corporate Vision, Mission, and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations, drive manufacturing operating policy supported by lean concepts, and realize business strategy.
  • Performance Management: Drive best practices and accountability for all aspects of plant performance, ensuring objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with customer, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Sales Support: Support, co-coordinate, and initiate sales opportunities with the corporate sales team.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, coach, and support team members and teams to perform their roles successfully, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving challenges.
Success Metrics
  • Year-over-year sales/volume increase to support corporate strategic growth goals.
  • Meet or exceed financial metrics.
  • Continuously strive toward Zero Defects, ensuring overall operations of the Plant are in conformance with the Quality System.
  • 100% on-time delivery.

  • Kanban, 5S organized facility.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Business, or equivalent work experience (20+ years of manufacturing leadership experience).
  • 10-15 years of experience in operations management, in highly engineered, plastic injection molding industry, with P&L responsibility at a plant/division level.
  • Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement knowledge and implementation experience.
  • Experience as a people leader with strong business acumen and analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Experience in being the lead change agent in complex transformational activities.
  • Must have a passion for and strong beliefs in constant improvement.
