Q-Cells is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Solar Projects to lead our solar energy projects from planning to execution. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, construction, and operation of solar energy projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of construction managers, engineers, and other project personnel.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage project budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Implement and oversee safety management systems, quality management systems, and environmental management systems.
- Drive innovation in project execution and management processes.
- Generate accurate and timely internal and external project reports.
- At least 5 years of solar-specific project management and execution leadership experience.
- An electrical trades background is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Extensive track record of successfully building large-scale projects, preferably in the solar industry.
- Knowledge of the solar market, technologies, regulations, and standards.
- Ability to interact with leadership cross-culturally, both within and outside the organization.
- Strong team player with a high degree of professionalism.
